ISLAND.fun<\/strong> is a unique point on the map of gastronomy, entertainment, leisure and recreation in Karkonosze, located in Kowary, only 10 minutes from Karpacz. The history of this place started more than 200 years ago !!!<\/p>

When Johann Sigmund Gebauer, the owner of a linen strip factory, became the richest man in Kowary, he decided to build a park accessible to everyone. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was one of the most popular bathing places (it had its German name: Inselbad) in the Giant Mountains.<\/p>

After the Second World War, the site continued to be very popular. There was a restaurant, canoe rental or a trampoline for jumping into the water. Later, the complex deteriorated for many years and access to the island was banned over time for safety reasons.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In 2019, the Island fell into the hands of a private investor who decided to restore it to its glory. Its renovation took more than two years, with new attractions planned for each year of expansion.<\/p>

The island is surrounded by a body of water of almost 4 hectares, and itself occupies an area of 3,500m2, to which more than 3,000 tonnes of top-quality white sand were brought! It is interesting to note that this sand, which is unparalleled in Europe, comes from Boles\u0142awiec, and the clay washed from it is used to make world-famous ceramics!<\/p>

The viewing terraces on the Island are as large as 400 m2 and the piers more than 600 m2. The Island can accommodate more than 1,000 people at a time. They have 200 seats under the pergolas and on the terraces and 100 seats in the restaurant itself. The Island opened on 15 July 2021 and welcomes visitors in all seasons.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Let's go! The island's CASTLE invites you to take a ferry (great for families with pushchairs), pedal boats, kayaks and SUP boards that can take you to the lighthouse, the water curtain, a pirate ship abandoned by pirates or the hidden glass table, where you can take a great souvenir photo as you stand on the water! Sports fans can battle it out on the volleyball court, take part in fitness classes on the beach or sit back and relax on the cushioned spectator area. Cool down with a bubbly drink, ice cream, in the surfboard shower you'll find on the beach or just - jump in the water.<\/p>\n

For those who want to take a breather, we have a quiet zone on one of the terraces - available for adults only. You can also hide away on the VIP terrace in the treetops, which is particularly popular with couples in love.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
